Privacy Notice

This notice outlines how your data will be controlled and processed, and by whom, according to the new General Data Protection Regulation.

If you carry out a skydive for charity, your name, contact information, sponsorship data and payment method will be shared with the charity you have selected to raise money for. If you are jumping for charity please refer to their Privacy Notice for information about their Data Privacy.
What your information will be used for
The product you purchase from us will affect how your information is processed. When your information is no longer required to fulfil its original purpose, it will be reduced to basic statistical information, as described in the section “Statistical Data Storage”.
Notice: While subscriptions are active we will keep your name and any contact information required to fulfil the subscription.
Subscriptions;
Your contact information will be processed to inform you of upcoming expiry of a subscribed service.
We will process your information to contact you with special offers and news by email or SMS.
Contact will only be made for this purpose by the lawful basis of "consent".
Purchase of a voucher or tangible product;
Personal information you provide will be used to deliver goods and verify your identity should you contact our customer services. The lawful basis for processing this information is “Contract” for the purpose of delivering purchased goods.
Personal information relating to a purchase of gift cards will be stored securely for 12 months following the expiry of the gift card. For purchased tangible goods it will be stored for 12 months from the purchase date.
Tandem skydive or an unqualified student (AFF or Static Line - Category System);
Your contact information will be processed to provide you with confirmation of your skydive/course. It will also be used to keep you informed of the status of your skydive/course if any changes should occur; such as poor weather conditions causing skydiving to be postponed.
Personal information including but not limited to: Your name, date of birth, address, height, weight and sex will be processed to satisfy the British Parachute Associations third party insurance cover. We will store the information securely for up to 7 years after you jump as required by the British Parachute Association. The lawful basis for processing of this information is “Legal Obligation” for the purpose of insurance.
Qualified skydiver;
Personal information including but not limited to: Your name, date of birth, address, height, weight and sex will be processed to maintain your membership to our club and to satisfy requirements of the British Parachute Association. We will store your information securely until you tell us you no longer wish to be a member. The lawful basis for processing of this information is “Legal Obligation”.
Data Access
We provide secure online access free of charge for all our customers with instant access to some of the data held. This service also offers portable data download for some information. If you are a tandem jumper you can use https://www.skydiveukltd.com/jumper/login. If you are a club member please use https://www.skydiveukltd.com/member/login. To submit a full subject access request; please email office@skydive.buzz.
Withdraw Consent
If you have provided consent for us to send you news and special offers; you may withdraw this consent at any time. For guidance on how to change your consent online, please see the “Data Access” section.

Update or Erase Data
If you become aware that information we hold about you is incorrect, there are two ways it can be updated; Customer Login, as outlined in the “Data Access” section of this document or via email to office@skydive.buzz.
In some circumstances you can submit a “right to be forgotten” request. We can only erase your data if you have NOT carried out any training or tandem skydives with us within the last 5 to 7 years. If you carry out a skydive or training aged 16 or 17, we are required by the British Parachute Association to keep a record of your information for 7 years. If you skydive aged 18 or over, we are required to keep your information for 5 years.
If we are unable to erase your information on request we may still be able to restrict any further processing of your information. Please email us for further information.
Statistical Data Storage
When we no longer require your data for its original purpose it will be reduced to unidentifiable statistical data. This means your name, contact information, account notes and transactions will all be removed. We will keep your postcode, height, weight, booking type, sex and total spend for statistical purposes only.
